A group of Washingtonians is taking the city back from its neighbors and returning to a state of relative calm.
The Washington Post is reporting that residents of the city’s historic Old Capitol neighborhood are looking for new homes to live in after Hurricane Matthew ravaged the region.
The Post reports that some residents are looking to rent or buy their homes out in the surrounding neighborhoods in hopes of returning to normality after the storm.
The majority of the Old Capitol houses were damaged by Hurricane Matthew, but some of the homes in the neighborhood have not yet been returned to their owners.
There are currently no plans to return to the neighborhood, however, because there is no longer a need for residents to move to new places, the Post reports.
