By Football Itlia staff Zlatanic Ibrahimovic has saved a penalty that would have given Italy a 1-0 victory over Italy.
The penalty was saved by Stephan El Shaarawy and was awarded to Zlatano Dukanovic, who put the ball past Gianluigi Buffon from six yards out.
The home side have now won just once in their last six international games.
Ibrahimovic was in fine form in the first half, creating his own goal and scoring the opening goal when he sent a beautiful through ball into the box.
However, Italy were unable to deal with the ball, and Buffon was brought down by a defender in the area.
He was shown a yellow card and was sent off for the second time.
Dukanović was the hero for the home side and was involved in the decisive moment with a sublime save to deny Buffon.
The substitute then took charge of the penalty, calmly slotting it into the far corner of the net.
Italy will now travel to Russia for the final in the tournament, with the game scheduled for the weekend.
