ROME — For many people, the weather is the first thing that comes to mind when they think of winter.
But for those of us who live in Italy, it can also be quite the opposite.
It’s not uncommon to see people wearing hats to avoid getting snow on their faces.
In fact, it’s so common, that it’s even been coined as a snow hat.
For the most part, though, the majority of us don’t have to think about whether or not we need a hat.
We just need to know when to wear one.
“It’s really important to know the right time to wear your hat and the right place to wear it,” said Alessandro Domenico, a photographer based in the northern city of Turin.
“You have to wear hats that are designed to be able to handle the snowfall in winter.”
Domenico has photographed for the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera and his photographs are frequently featured in local publications.
He said he doesn’t think about how to wear his hat to avoid snow.
“I just look at it,” he said.
“It’s a matter of having a good weather forecast.”
Snow-shoes are available to buy in most supermarkets.
You’ll find them in the outdoor section and, like in most countries, they’ll be cheaper than an actual snowshoe.
But in Italy it’s not just about the cost of the snowshoes.
Snowshoes have become a necessity for some people as well.
Domenica has found that when he goes out in winter, people are often wearing snowshoers as well to cover up their snow boots.
“If people can’t cover their boots with a snowshOE, that’s a very big problem,” he explained.
In Italy, there are two snowshoing schools.
The first is called the ‘Italian Snowshoe Academy’ and the second is called ‘Italian Ski School.’
“The first school is not for beginners but for people who have experienced some difficulties with the snow,” Domenio said.
They teach the basics of skiing and snowshopping and they also teach people about safety and etiquette.
The second school teaches people how to get around in winter.
The school was founded by Italian ski instructor Giovanni Scola and his family.
He also has an apprenticeship program that teaches people to teach winter skiing.
The Scolas have had success with their first winter snowshooting, and they plan to continue doing so.
“We are hoping to be successful with the next season and continue to do more and more snowshoding,” Scola said.
When asked if the idea of snowshowing came up to him during the course of his photography, Scola laughed.
“No, not at all,” he replied.
“I think it’s a natural way to go out in the snow.”
While snowshoots are common in Italy in wintertime, there’s no official requirement for snowshooter licenses in Italy.
For those who don’t want to go through the hassle of obtaining one, it could be a difficult prospect.
However, if you have to buy a license, you can always do it online.
For the price of just about $5 a month, you’ll get a license to shoot a snow scene, but you won’t have the chance to shoot snowshowers, snow slides or any other type of photography.
